At AvenueDogs.com we provide information on all things dogs – from dog health to buyer’s guides to our latest series of featured dog rescues. While we cater to pet owners worldwide, our focus in this series is on organizations in Mexico who are doing some great things with very little outside support or funding.
Today we’re going to feature a rescue that simply doesn’t get enough recognition – Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz:
When you donate to a foster or rescue in Mexico, your dollar goes further. If you’d like to volunteer or donate to Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz, you can contact them directly via Facebook Messenger. We’ll leave that information below;

Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality support, care, housing, and medical attention for dogs in need. They’re based in San Miguel De Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico and for them, rescuing animals is a life-long passion. Once rehabilitated, they’re able to send dogs to both the U.S. and Canada.
We got a chance to talk to Jessica From Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz. She took the time out of her busy schedule to answer some of our questions about this fantastic rescue based in Guanajuato. Let’s take a look!
Avenue Dogs (AD): Hi Jessica! Can You Give Us A Quick Rundown of What Your Organization Does?
Jessica: We rescue dogs from dangerous or terrible situations, whether they are sick, abandoned, neglected or suffering any type of cruelty. We sacrifice our live and our time. It’s what we live for!
AD: How Can People Help/Donate to Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz?
Jessica: People can help us by donating money, food, blankets, dog accessories, volunteering as flight angels to diverse cities in the US or Canada and, most importantly, by adopting our dogs once they are ready to find a forever home. We also constantly seek foster homes and volunteers for our sterilization campaigns.
AD: Do You Have Any Advice for People Wanting to Adopt Dogs in Mexico?
Jessica: All rescue dogs should always be sterilized and with all proper vaccinations and periodical internal and external de-parasitings.
AD: And, Finally! Tell Us Your Favorite Dog/Rescue Joke!
Jessica: Anything is paw-sible when a dog needs to be rescued, even when it can be ruff.
Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz – An Avenue Dogs Featured Rescue
Escuchemos el Eco de Su Voz is an AvenueDogs.com Featured Rescue. With 23+ years of experience rescuing dogs in both Mexico City and in San Miguel de Allende, Jessica has helped hundreds of dogs change their lives for the better. But they need help from you! Because they’re entirely non-profit, they can always use donations (monetary or dog-related items) and volunteers that can spare time.
